Our History

Reems Creek Golf Club was conceived by the esteemed British firm Hawtree & Sons in 1988, crafting a layout reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands.

This course features numerous elevation changes, doglegs, blind shots, stunning views, and meticulously maintained greens, challenging players’ course management skills as well as their physical fitness due to its sloping fairways and elevated greens.

By 2019, this beautiful gem had fallen into disrepair, facing issues like unplayable bunkers, numerous sinkholes, and waterlogged fairways, leading corporate owners to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Many expected it to be acquired by local entrepreneurs or golf industry experts; however, developers began to express interest in closing it down to build homes in the thriving residential market.

It was then that Summer Greene and Pamela Faerber took action. Having relocated to the Reems Creek Golf Community to enjoy their retirement, they realized that if developers took over, it would severely impact both the community and golfers. Rather than relaxing, they embraced the challenge and purchased the course.

With no prior experience in golf course ownership, Summer and Pam approached the renovations with fresh ideas. They finalized the sale on the last day of 2019 and got right to work.

They removed 35 bunkers, repaired sinkholes, upgraded irrigation systems, installed beautiful landscaping, purchased new equipment including a fleet of golf carts with GPS, gutted the clubhouse, expanded the staff, and so much more. Today, their vision has come to fruition as they continue to enhance the club and look forward to creating countless joyful memories for everyone!
